my basement walls are now waterproofed and dry (leak was on the outside foundation) but they are flaky and pitted. I need to have them repaired. What is involved and what kind of cost am I looking at? Its an old poured wall basement c.1920. Am not remodeling basement for living space but just to have a nice clean appearance with laundry/storage. Thanks for your help.
Answers:
1remove all the flake..then look for a compound called " sure-wall"- u Can get it or something like it at home depot or lowes. u mix it up like motor and apply with a trowel or u can use heavy gloves and apply by hand. it has fiberglass in it and it will give the appearance of a stuccoed wall. very very durable.
