basement windowless air ventilation? | |
Hi
I am remodeling my windowless basement and need to get air ventilation, also air conditioning and heat. I just don't know wher to start. What am I looking for? Any help would be appreciated. I have about 400sq feet and the basement is dry. Thanks in advance
WOW you all are terrific. thanks for the advice. Just wondering, would a windowless air conditioner work? ( There are just some things I don't understand about air flow) so you are helping me out. I plan to install a drier so I guess I could use that duct.

1Ann....IF you are able to get a dryer duct into the basement (the kind that feeds outside) you can in fact have a portable AC unit. I have one and can roll it from room to room. The only requirements are that I have a place to vent the hot air on the return. This can be done through a window OR through a vent like the one for the dryer. This is going to be a challenge for you...well it would be for me....because the one thing I love most is a well ventilated room...it reduces odor and the possibility of mold growing.....good luck and keep HGTV on the tube.
